We think you'll like winter in the Wallowa Mountains, especially at Cornucopia Lodge.
Stay in one of our cozy cabins, and Cornucopia Lodge will be fully operational by the 2006-2007 winter season for family fun in the snow. We are located six miles from where the Baker County, Oregon stops plowing the road, so you'll have the added treat of a ride over the snow into the lodge by snowcat, sleigh, or snowmobile. In fact, select Snowmobiling from the homepage menu to learn more about the 130 miles of groomed trails you can ride from Cornucopia Lodge.
Or you can take scenic sleigh rides (weather permitting, of course) through the old gold mining ghost town of Cornucopia. To see some of the old buildings, click on and select The Ghost Town.
At the end of your day of touring the town, skiing, snowmobiling, or just having fun in the snow, you can find family-style meals served in the lodge, and after dinner you can get cozy around our large stone fireplace guaranteed to keep you warm and toasty on a frosty evening.
