Mother-Daughter Weekend

Our July 19 camp is full, but.. we’ve added another one! Call today to reserve your spot in our July 25-17th camp!

Imagine a weekend of relaxing in the beautiful Eagle Cap Wilderness area riding the trails, and looking at breathtaking scenery you won't see anywhere else.

You will arrive on Friday and be matched to a horse that fits your skill level. All of our horses have been dude horses for years and are very gentle. After some basic instruction in wilderness horseback riding, you are off on your first adventure. Bring your camera, and be prepared to see both the elk and deer that call the Eagle Caps home.

Eat your lunch by a cool mountain stream, rest and relax. You will get back to camp where dinner will be waiting with songs and s'mores around the campfire and night in our wall tent camp is the perfect time to share secrets with your young partner.  On Sunday after breakfast and a short ride, mothers and daughters will enjoy a light lunch and then drive home.

Your Cornucopia base camp has wall tents with wood floors. We have a shower building with hot water. This is camping at its best.

2019 Price $650 (Price includes both Mother & Daughter)

Mother-Daughter weekends can be combined with 4-day horse camp with mom joining the horse camp for the weekend.  Price for both is $1,000

Mission Statement

To provide instruction in western trail riding while learning how to live in the wilderness. We instruct horsemen and women in the “leave no trace” policy when visiting our national forest. We also show horsemen and women the beauty of our wilderness while teaching campers the geology and history of the area.
