Events and Special Trips for 2017
Pre-scheduled trips are the perfect option for those who have fewer than 3 people in their group, or want to participate in a unique event. Trips and Events are added at different times of year, so be sure to check back often!
July 29th, 2017:
In 2016, we were excited to offer our first "History Talk". And, we're even MORE excited to announce that we'll be having a "2nd Annual" book talk. Once again, Author Tom Cook will join us. This year will cover new material about the town, and from his book "The Cornucopia: Oregon's Richest Gold Mine". After the talk (and the included lunch), there will be a guided tour of old town Cornucopia.
If you would like to join us as we once again dig into the history of the mine and area, please click the link below to contact us. Or, give us a call to get signed up!
$15 (lunch included)

Astral events: Solar eclipse and perseid meteor shower
Perseid Meteor Shower
August 12th will be the peak night for the Perseid Meteor Shower. Join us in our East Fork Supplied Camp for a wonderful 2 night, 3 day experience. We'll pack you and your gear into camp on August 11th, where a cook will be located to provide you with hearty meals. While your two nights will be filled with awe-inspiring views of the meteor shower, you can spend your day exploring or resting up for the nightly show. On the 13th, we'll return and pack you back to the lodge.
Cost is $600/person. You may also consider booking a cabin for a night either before or after your pack in.
August 21st will provide a seldom offered opportunity! And... Oregon has a front-row seat for this breathtaking event.
While the lodge and cabins are already booked full, we do have another exciting option to allow you to experience this event first-hand, and we'll give you several suggested viewing locations from which to watch the eclipse.
For a truly memorable experience, you can stay in our Tent Camp where you'll sleep on cots in wall tents with floors, be provided meals in the cook tent, and have a hot shower and real bathroom facilities! A campfire outside the cook tent is a great ending to each day! Each wall tent will sleep 4 people. Cost is $95/person, or if you don't want to share the tent, you can reserve the entire tent for yourself or your group for $380. Space is limited to 16.
If you want to add a special upscale dinner to your tent stay, we are offering our wonderful lodge dinners for an additional $8/person (a $20 discount off the regular price).
